Long time using internet explorer? Time to try a free and better alternative browser, Firefox.
Many people may misunderstanding that firefox will replace internet explorer after installed. Don't worry, Firefox is a stand alone program, you can still using internet explorer as usual after firefox installed. I installed Firefox in my computer as a alternative choice of the browser, after few days trying i decided using firefox as my primary browser. I like the word translator feature (not included in standard Firefox version, need Google toolbar) very much as i do not understand some english word :-).
Let me introduce why using Firefox. 1st, the very important reason, you can have a faster browsing experience by using Firefox. It load your web page faster compare with the internet explorer.
2nd, Tabbed browsing in Firefox lets you load Web pages in separate tabs of a single browser window, so you can jump between them quickly and easily. Perhaps you’re reading a news story and want to follow an interesting link without losing your place in the original story. With tabbed browsing, you can do this without filling your taskbar with new, unorganized browser windows.
Tips: You can launch your multiple favorite websites by just a single bookmark click. Store multiple page in bookmark by using bookmark all tabs feature and then access it by open in tabs feature.
3rd, Firefox keeps you more secure when you’re browsing the Web.
Firefox is very good free program, it work much more better when integrated with Google toolbar. Word Translator in Google toolbar is very useful for someone like me who do not understand some english word. It supports translation from English into Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Japanese, Korean, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Turn on the WordTranslator feature by click the Google Toolbar option button. Now move your mouse over a English word, Wow....you can see the screen display the translated word.
Another great feature in Google toolbar is Highlight Search Terms feature.
Once you've used the Google Toolbar to find a web page, there's no need to scroll around looking for your search terms. The Highlight button instantly lights them up on the page, making it easier to find relevant information.
There is some other great feature in Firefox and Google Toolbar, e.g. Firefox - Download Manager (very basic, see my review below for the better free download manager solution), clear private data...
Google Toolbar - AutoLink, AutoFill, PageRank Display,Word Find Buttons, Customize your Toolbar layout, Auto Update, SpellCheck.
Last, Firefox is a proven useful browser as it awarded by by PCWord and PC Magazine as the best Product of Year 2005
